The Backspin HQ Perspective
The 2027 edition follows a sold-out debut in May 2025, per Complex, and the festival is billed as a return rather than a one-off. In a statement carried by JamBase, Wallen said the thing he is looking forward to most about bringing the festival back is "being able to have new concepts on stage and trying to elevate the experience overall for the fans, myself and other artists on the bill."
The bill is built across genres rather than around a single format. Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Juicy J, Project Pat and Ying Yang Twins sit on the same poster as Cole Swindell, Midland, Koe Wetzel and Avery Anna, with Kygo and Empire of the Sun covering the dance and pop end. Pricing is flat and all-in: the festival's site says the price shown includes taxes and beach restoration fees, and the three-day wristband is the only way in.
Several of the names are already on Backspin's radar. Kings of Leon also headline Isle of Wight Festival 2027, Nelly was the subject of our Nelly + Friends 'Where the Party At World Tour' recap in Vancouver, and Third Eye Blind are support on Weezer's 2027 Australia and New Zealand arena run.
