The Backspin HQ Perspective
Fender arrives at this scale off the strongest run of his career. People Watching debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart in 2025 and won that year's Mercury Prize, and 'Rein Me In' with Olivia Dean became the longest-running UK No. 1 single at 23 weeks, according to the Official Charts Company. His three St James' Park shows in 2025 moved 150,041 tickets and grossed $14.64 million, per Pollstar.
The rollout has not been smooth. After fan complaints, Fender removed a premium Front Standing ticket tier, Music Week reported, and the St James' Park presale was pushed back a day after a bot attack on the Gigantic ticketing platform. The Wembley nights will be his biggest headline shows to date, and the Rock Werchter slot comes after he cancelled his 2025 set there due to vocal problems.
