Montreal's week of October 26 to November 1 has five confirmed shows, and the headline is a return 47 years in the making. Sting brings the stripped-back Sting 3.0 Tour to Théâtre St-Denis on Tuesday, his first time on that stage since he played it with The Police in 1979. Three nights later, global girl group KATSEYE play the Bell Centre on The Wildworld Tour, the first of their two Canadian arena dates. The rest of the week is built for smaller rooms: American singer Yebba opens it at L'Olympia on Monday with her second album, Jean, progressive metal band Periphery take MTELUS on Tuesday, and Faroese singer Eivør closes it at Le National on Halloween.

The Backspin HQ Picks

Sting, Tuesday, October 27 at Théâtre St-Denis. According to Billboard Canada, this is Sting's first show at the roughly 2,000-capacity theatre since he played it as frontman of The Police in 1979. The Sting 3.0 format pares the band down to a trio, putting the bass and the voice at the centre of songs that span The Police and his solo catalogue. Backspin covered the tour's Vancouver opening night at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre earlier this month.

KATSEYE, Friday, October 30 at the Bell Centre. Formed through HYBE and Geffen Records' Dream Academy, KATSEYE debuted their 2025 EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS in the top five of the Billboard 200, earned two GRAMMY nominations including Best New Artist, and released their third EP, WILD, in August. Montreal is the first of the Wildworld Tour's two Canadian dates, ahead of TD Coliseum in Hamilton on November 1. Backspin photographed their Toronto show in November 2025.

Yebba, Monday, October 26 at L'Olympia. Yebba released Jean, her second studio album, on RCA in March. She wrote and executive produced it with John Rooney and named it after her late grandmother, five years after her acclaimed debut, Dawn. The show is an MRG Live and RAPSEASON presentation.
