The Backspin HQ Perspective

Meshuggah formed in Umeå, Sweden in 1987 and have released nine studio albums, most recently Immutable in 2022. Their 2018 Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance came for 'Clockworks'. With no new record attached, this run is built around the catalogue and the anniversary itself.

The bill is stacked across generations. Testament formed in the Bay Area in 1983 and released Para Bellum in October 2025, while Denver's Blood Incantation, formed in 2011, followed 2024's Absolute Elsewhere with the All Gates Open soundtrack in 2026.

For Vancouver, the PNE Forum date on April 15 is the tour's only British Columbia stop. Meshuggah's last Vancouver show was November 25, 2023 at UBC's Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre with In Flames and Whitechapel. The tour also brings the band to Sonic Temple in Columbus, one of the biggest rock festivals of 2027; see Backspin's breakdown of the Sonic Temple 2027 lineup.
