The Backspin HQ Perspective
Sonic Temple comes into 2027 off a sold-out, record 2026 edition that drew 184,000 fans to Historic Crew Stadium behind My Chemical Romance, Shinedown, Bring Me The Horizon and Tool, according to ABC 6 Columbus, and Danny Wimmer Presents has the stadium locked in through at least 2030. Iron Maiden's Friday headline set is one of two festival closers on the band's final Run For Your Lives dates in North America, a run that also stops at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on April 16 before ending at Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, two days after Columbus. Korn's Sunday headline slot follows the Kanada Tour stop Backspin covered in Vancouver, and Turnstile arrive in Columbus after headlining Bumbershoot 2026 in Seattle. The bill leans on reunions and legacy acts, with Faith No More, The Prodigy and The All-American Rejects alongside heavier current draws like Knocked Loose, Sleep Theory and Dayseeker.
