WEEZER BRING 'THE GATHERING' TO SAN DIEGO'S VIEJAS ARENA WITH THE SHINS AND SILVERSUN PICKUPS
Weezer brought Weezer: The Gathering to San Diego's Viejas Arena on Wednesday, October 21, with The Shins and Silversun Pickups in support, three shows before the North American leg wraps at a sold-out Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
October 21, 2026 - The 32-date arena run announced in March reached Southern California tonight, a day after Phoenix. The tour opened on September 8 in Sacramento and made its lone Western Canada stop at Vancouver's Rogers Arena on September 12 before crossing the continent and heading back west.
This leg supports Weezer (Gold Album), the band's 20th studio album, released August 21 on Reprise/Warner and produced by Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume. It arrived on the back of three singles: "Shine Again," "We Might As Well Be Strangers" with Karly Hartzman of Wednesday, and "C.E.O.," whose video features cameos from Tony Hawk, Rob Riggle and Michael Peña. The exact October 21 setlist requires confirmation.

The Backspin HQ Perspective
The Gathering is one of the best-value bills of the fall: three bands that defined 2000s alternative radio for one ticket, all on the strength of a new Weezer record rather than a nostalgia hook. Moving to the 12,000-plus-seat Viejas Arena on a Wednesday night shows how strong demand has been on the West Coast, and with Los Angeles already sold out, the last chance to catch this lineup in North America is Las Vegas on Friday.
