SYSTEM OF A DOWN ANNOUNCE FIRST-EVER ROSE BOWL SHOW, THEIR ONLY NORTH AMERICAN DATE OF 2027
Updated: 7 minutes ago
TL;DR: System of a Down will play their first-ever show at Pasadena's Rose Bowl on June 5, 2027 with Pierce the Veil, and it is the band's only North American date of the year.
October 19, 2026 - After a weekend of sky projections and stadium teases around Los Angeles, System of a Down announced a one-off stadium show at the 65,000-capacity Rose Bowl on Saturday, June 5, 2027, with Pierce the Veil as special guest. Promoted by Live Nation and 30e, it is the band's only North American appearance of 2027 and the biggest California headline show of their career, topping a two-night run at BMO Stadium in 2022. The news follows a summer of sold-out European stadium shows in Paris, London and Warsaw, plus a Toxicity 25th anniversary exhibition at Beyond The Streets in Los Angeles. Before Pasadena, the band opens 2027 with stadium dates in Brazil, Australia and New Zealand alongside the recently reunited Faith No More.

The Backspin HQ Perspective
System of a Down have turned scarcity into an event. With no new album and only a handful of shows a year, every date becomes a pilgrimage, and a single North American stadium show in 2027 means fans from across the continent will be converging on Pasadena. There is no Canadian date, so the Rose Bowl is the closest option for Canadian fans who missed the band's 2025 Rogers Stadium shows in Toronto. Pairing the Toxicity anniversary with Pierce the Veil, one of the biggest heavy draws of the last few years, makes this one of the must-see rock shows of next summer.
