On March 10, 2026, Miguel brought the CAOS Tour to the UBC – Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver, BC. The performance marked the 20th stop of the 27-date North American leg before the tour heads overseas for an additional 14 show run across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Miguel’s relationship with Vancouver stretches back more than a decade. His first appearance in the city came in 2013 when he opened for Alicia Keys on the Set the World on Fire Tour at Rogers Arena. Three years later he returned as a standout performer at the 2016 Pemberton Music Festival. By 2018, he had established himself as a headliner locally, bringing the War & Leisure Tour to the PNE Forum before returning later that year with The Ascension Tour at the same UBC venue that hosted this night of the CAOS Tour.
The North American leg of the CAOS Tour began in the southern United States with back to back shows in Atlanta and Nashville before moving up the East Coast through cities including Virginia Beach, Boston, and Washington, D.C. After crossing into Canada for performances in Montreal and Toronto, Miguel continued through several major U.S. markets before pushing west through Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, and Seattle on the way to Vancouver.
At exactly 9:23 PM, the opening notes of ‘Perderme’ filled the venue as Miguel stepped onto the stage in near darkness. A single spotlight from behind cast him as a silhouette while he carried a guitar and slowly climbed the stairs of an overturned police cruiser placed at centre stage. The visual immediately established the rebellious tone of the CAOS Tour’s production.

During ‘The Killing’, smoke poured through openings in the stage floor and drifted outward into the crowd, creating a hazy atmosphere that blurred the edge between stage and audience. When ‘CAOS’ began, Miguel ditched the guitar as a massive floating Olmec head rose behind him toward the rafters. The sculpture, designed as a self-portrait representing his subconscious and cultural identity, became a recurring visual throughout the performance.
Miguel soon moved away from the car prop and onto the main stage to perform ‘DRUGS’, greeting the crowd with a quick “How we doing tonight, Vancouver?” before launching into the song. Throughout ‘How Many Drinks?’ he walked from one side of the stage to the other, engaging both sides of the audience while encouraging fans to sing along. The energy then shifted dramatically when he performed ‘Coffee’ alone under a single spotlight at centre stage.
After the song ended, the towering Olmec head lit up and began delivering a spoken message explaining the deeper meaning behind the concept of CAOS. As the speech continued, Miguel spray painted the words “ICE OUT” across the damaged police cruiser. Before beginning ‘New Martyrs (Ride 4 U)’, Miguel paused at stage left to speak directly to the crowd about Canada’s historical role as a place of refuge. He told the audience that Canada had long been a sanctuary for people seeking safety and dignity.

“The people who came before me, runaway slaves, for natives, always protecting the sanctity of humanity,” he said. “So in solidarity of the people, I know the United States is not your country but I appreciate how you support those who are human and who deserve to have a safe place to live, to grow, to thrive.”
He then led the audience in a call and response chant of “ICE OUT” before beginning the song with his guitar. Miguel closed ‘New Martyrs (Ride 4 U)’ from the opposite side of the stage before climbing back onto the overturned cruiser for ‘Triggered’.
From there the set moved through a long stretch of fan favourites and deeper cuts including ‘El Pleito / Candles’, ‘Thrill’, ‘Anointed’, ‘Girl With The Tattoo’, and ‘All I Want’. Songs such as ‘Quickie’, ‘RIP’, ‘Oscillate’, and ‘Simple Things’ kept the pacing strong while highlighting the wide sonic range of Miguel’s catalogue. Later in the show he returned once again to the top of the car for a powerful sequence of ‘Angel’s Song’, ‘Adorn’, and ‘COMMA / KARMA’, three songs that have become staples of his live performances.
The night’s final stretch arrived with ‘Sky Walker’. Miguel moved between the top of the car and the main stage during the song, thanking the Vancouver crowd, his band, and the venue staff before exiting the stage. He soon returned for an encore, closing the night with ‘Pussy Is Mine’ followed by ‘Sure Thing’.
With the Vancouver performance complete, Miguel continues down the West Coast with upcoming stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego before heading through the Southwest and southern United States for the final stretch of the North American run. For Vancouver, the March 10 show served as a reminder of Miguel’s evolution as both a performer and storyteller. More than a decade after his first appearance in the city, the Miguel CAOS Tour demonstrated how his blend of soul, commentary, and theatrical visuals continues to push the boundaries of modern R&B.
