RECAP: CHRIS STAPLETON BRINGS 'ALL AMERICAN ROAD SHOW TOUR' TO VANCOUVER

Chris Stapleton returned to Rogers Arena on July 22, 2026, for his first Vancouver performance in 1,530 days, bringing the All American Road Show back to British Columbia for the first time since May 2022. The sold out concert marked the 27th stop of Stapleton's 49 date North American tour and his third performance at Rogers Arena, a venue he has now headlined in 2017, 2022, and 2026. Hours before showtime, fans filled Rogers Arena's five merchandise locations, with booths located throughout Sections 107, 111, 117, 309, and the North Plaza. The Vancouver stop also featured an exclusive Matthew Jay concert poster available only at Rogers Arena, while Stapleton's Traveller Whiskey was served for one night at select bars throughout the building.

Just before 9 p.m., Stapleton quietly walked onto the stage with a guitar in hand. There was no dramatic entrance or extended introduction. The crowd recognized him immediately as he launched into 'Bad As I Used to Be', the song that earned him another Grammy Award earlier this year, before moving into 'Arkansas', 'Nobody to Blame', 'What Am I Gonna Do', and 'Parachute'.

After 'Parachute', Stapleton took one of only a few opportunities to address the audience. "Thank you all for being with us tonight." He then asked how many people had seen him perform before, followed by how many were attending their first Chris Stapleton concert. After hearing cheers from both groups, he smiled and explained exactly how the rest of the evening would unfold.

"For those of you who don't know, I'm not one to do a whole lot of talking tonight. We're going to play as much music as we can in the time that we have." He encouraged everyone to have as much fun as possible before getting right back into the set. It was a brief conversation, but it summed up the night. Aside from a handful of short interactions later in the show, Stapleton let the music carry nearly two hours of the performance.

That approach has remained largely unchanged throughout the All American Road Show. Stapleton has never relied on elaborate production or lengthy speeches between songs, and Rogers Arena was no different. Instead, the focus stayed on the band and a catalogue that now stretches across more than a decade of solo releases while still making room for the songwriting that established his reputation long before he became an arena headliner.

The set moved comfortably between newer material from Higher and staples from Traveller, From A Room, and Starting Over. Songs including 'Millionaire', 'Think I'm in Love With You', 'I Was Wrong', 'Cold', 'White Horse', 'Hard Livin'', 'Starting Over', 'You Should Probably Leave', and 'Traveller' highlighted the range of influences that continue to define Stapleton's sound, blending country with blues, southern rock, soul, and bluegrass without ever feeling forced.

Midway through the evening, the full band stepped back as Stapleton performed 'What Are You Listening To?' and 'Where Rainbows Never Die' alone onstage with an acoustic guitar. The quieter section briefly changed the pace before the full band returned for the remainder of the show.

Although conversation between songs was limited, Stapleton still acknowledged fans throughout the night. He responded to people calling out from the audience, occasionally walking toward the barricade to sign items before returning to the microphone. Those moments were brief, but they added a personal touch to a performance that otherwise remained centred on the music.

The final stretch brought together many of Stapleton's best known songs. 'Fire Away', 'Broken Halos', and 'Tennessee Whiskey' closed the main set, with the latter preceded by introductions of the band before Stapleton delivered the song that has become synonymous with his live performances.

Following a short break, he returned for a one song encore, closing the evening with 'Might as Well Get Stoned'.

Chris Stapleton's career has changed dramatically since he first walked onto the Rogers Arena stage in 2017. At the time, Traveller had recently introduced him to a much wider audience. Nine years later, he returned with 12 Grammy Awards, one of country music's most recognizable catalogues, and a tour that continues to add dates in response to demand. Yet despite that growth, the foundation of his live show remains largely the same. It is built around the songs, the band, and a performer who has never felt the need to say more than necessary.
