NE-YO + AKON ANNOUNCE 'NIGHT'S LIKE THIS TOUR'

The global resurgence of legacy-driven touring reaches a new peak in 2026 as NE-YO and AKON officially unveil their co-headlining Nights Like This Tour, a massive 57-date global run spanning Europe, the UK, and North America. Produced by Live Nation, the tour launches April 24, 2026 in Dublin and concludes August 21 in Los Angeles, positioning itself as one of the most comprehensive nostalgia-forward R&B tours of the decade.

Rather than following a traditional co-headlining structure, Nights Like This is built around a back-and-forth, hit-for-hit format that mirrors how both artists originally dominated radio and nightlife culture throughout the 2000s and early 2010s. The result is a seamless live experience designed to feel less like two separate sets and more like a single, flowing soundtrack to an era.

A Shared Era, One Stage

NE-YO and AKON represent two parallel pillars of modern R&B and pop crossover. NE-YO’s catalog shaped the emotional core of mid-2000s radio through polished songwriting and smooth vocal delivery, while AKON’s global-leaning production and melodic hooks pushed club culture into mainstream pop. Nights Like This brings those worlds together in real time, blending slow-burn ballads with high-energy anthems without breaking momentum.

Songs such as So Sick, Closer, and Miss Independent sit naturally beside Smack That, Lonely, and Right Now (Na Na Na), creating a setlist designed for constant crowd engagement rather than isolated nostalgia moments. The tour’s title leans directly into that idea, positioning each show as a shared memory loop built around music that defined late nights, dance floors, and radio countdowns.

Why This Tour, Why Now

The timing of Nights Like This is intentional. 2026 marks the 20-year anniversary of NE-YO’s In My Own Words, a debut that reshaped contemporary R&B songwriting and launched a career that now spans over 23 billion global streams. For AKON, the tour arrives during a continued global re-engagement phase following the 20-year milestone of Trouble and the sustained cultural relevance of Konvicted-era hits.

Beyond anniversaries, both artists are operating at key transition points. NE-YO is preparing to enter a new creative chapter with a forthcoming country-influenced album, while AKON continues to balance music with large-scale entrepreneurial and philanthropic initiatives. Nights Like This functions as both a celebration and a strategic reaffirmation of their lasting influence.

A Global Rollout by Design

The tour opens across Europe and the UK with a dense run of arena dates, beginning April 24, 2026 at 3Arena in Dublin and continuing through major markets including The O2 Arena in London, Accor Arena in Paris, and Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. These indoor venues allow for high-production lighting and tightly controlled audio environments, reinforcing the club-forward atmosphere the tour is built around.

North America follows in mid-June with a Canada-first launch at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on June 17, before moving through Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto. The U.S. leg leans heavily into the summer amphitheatre circuit, including stops at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Xfinity Center in Mansfield, and Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas.

The tour concludes August 21 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, one of North America’s newest and most technologically advanced arenas, serving as a symbolic finale in the global entertainment capital.

Ticketing, Presales, and VIP

General onsale begins Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10 am local time. Ticket access varies by region, with Citi cardmember presales available for U.S. dates and American Express presales for Canadian shows. European and UK dates include artist presales beginning January 28.

VIP packages are available across North America and Europe, featuring premium seating, Meet & Greet opportunities with AKON, exclusive merchandise, and autographed memorabilia. Packages vary by market and are offered through VIP Nation.

Why Nights Like This Matters

Nights Like This is more than a joint tour. It reflects the ongoing power of the 20-year nostalgia cycle, where artists from the early 2000s now perform to audiences that include both original fans and a younger generation discovering these catalogs through streaming and social media. By pooling their hits into a single, high-density live experience, NE-YO and AKON are delivering a format that prioritizes momentum, familiarity, and shared cultural memory.

As the tour moves from Europe’s arenas to North America’s summer amphitheatres, Nights Like This stands positioned as one of 2026’s most commercially and culturally significant R&B tours.
