The Backspin HQ Perspective
Innings launched in March 2018 as a collaboration between Major League Baseball and C3 Presents, timed to Cactus League spring training, with Queens of the Stone Age, The Avett Brothers and Chris Stapleton headlining year one. The 2021 edition was cancelled during the pandemic, and the 2026 bill was topped by Mumford & Sons, Twenty One Pilots and Blink-182.
The 2027 lineup leans hard into 2000s alternative and pop nostalgia, from Interpol, Yellowcard and Jet to Train, Shaggy and 4 Non Blondes, while The Strokes and Alanis Morissette give the weekend two marquee closers. The Neighbourhood's Sunday set is also the first date of their 2027 run; Backspin's Wourld Tour II guide has the full routing, including five Canadian arena dates. KTAR reports that former MLB players including Darryl Strawberry, Nelson Cruz and Rollie Fingers will appear on site.
