The Backspin HQ Perspective
This is a smart pairing that spans two generations of arena rock radio. Def Leppard bring the spectacle and the "Pour Some Sugar on Me" singalongs; Goo Goo Dolls bring "Iris," a song that has found a whole new audience through streaming and covers. Adding The Struts, one of the best live openers in rock, makes this a full night rather than a co-bill with filler. Canada gets real attention too, with Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton all on the route. Rogers Arena on May 14 is a lock for a big crowd.
