The Backspin HQ Perspective
Dickinson's last solo run, The Mandrake Project tour, wrapped in Brazil in September 2025 after 71 shows across three continents, built around 2024's The Mandrake Project. He followed it with More Balls to Picasso, a reworked version of his 1994 album, released through BMG in July 2025. According to Blabbermouth, his eighth solo album was largely recorded in early 2026 at Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer Brendan Duffey and 16 songs tracked live.
The solo dates slot around a busy Iron Maiden calendar. Maiden return to North America in spring 2027 to close the Run For Your Lives tour, with Vancouver's Rogers Arena on April 16 and a headline set at Sonic Temple in May; Backspin's Iron Maiden 2027 tour guide has every date. The PsychoGod run then fills Dickinson's summer and late year, mixing theatres and halls like London's Eventim Apollo and Paris's L'Olympia with three major European metal festivals.
